It contains outputs from different models encompassing historical runs and two climate change scenarios (SSP126 and SSP585). This dataset is not intended for any other use; users seeking broader CMIP6 data should access the ESGF repository directly. For the purposes of this project, only the main members have been processed (i.e. r1i1p1f1 or r1i1p1f2). * To homogenize this database and make the various models comparable easily, the files were regridded on a 1° resolution grid (360x180 grid). All files for each variable and each model underwent exactly the same treatment. * Files are first decompressed using Python's xarray module, then merged in time to obtain a single file (if several files represent the desired time period) using the CDO mergetime command. These files are then regridded using the CDO remapdis command. Special care is applied during this regridding step to ensure the presence of various bounds for smooth regridding. * Monthly Climatologies are computed from the horizontally regridded model outputs, using cdo ymonmean to compute monthly climatology and Ferret to extract vertical layers. * In this database, data are not regridded vertically, so each model remains on its initial vertical grid. Only one modification is applied to the CESM2 model, to change the unit of the vertical axis from centimeters to meters. Usage Notes: This dataset is specifically tailored for use by the marine species distribution models (SDM) community. Users seeking broader CMIP6 data for other purposes should access the ESGF repository directly. Users should refer to CMIP6 documentation for model-specific details and caveats. Monthly climatology data can be used for various climate analyses, including trend analysis, anomaly detection, and climate change impact assessments. Citation: [Insert citation for CMIP6 dataset]
